Scrambler Low – Your Ultralight Hiking and Trail Running Shoe

Get ready to race, hike, scramble, and explore in style with the Scrambler Low – perhaps the lightest, most comfortable, and breathable trail shoe you’ve ever encountered.

Our second collaboration with Michelin, the Scrambler Low, redefines performance, comfort, and versatility.

SLM-LUOR_Scrambler-Low_Legion-Blue-Orange_Apex_00260

Tire Inspired Design

The Scrambler Low shares the Michelin made, mountain bike tire-inspired outsole with its sibling, our Scrambler Mid.

The sole uses Michelin’s fiberlite technology, an embedded textile layer that creates a thin, lightweight, flexible, strong product.

Lightweight, Breathable, and Confident

At just 9.3 oz. per shoe (M9), the Scrambler Low weighs less than many hiking sandals.

You’ll enjoy the breathable mesh upper year round.

The iconic Xero Shoes adjustable instep and midfoot straps will help you feel secure no matter where you take the Scrambler Low.

WE MAKE TRAIL RUNNING SHOES SO COMFORTABLE, YOU’LL FORGET THEY’RE EVEN ON.

If your feet don’t feel as good at the end of the day as they did in the beginning, you haven’t tried the Scrambler Low.

Life-changing comfort and superior performance come from letting your feet do what’s natural – bend, move, flex and feel.

All Xero Shoes feature a wider, foot-shaped toe box that lets your toes spread and relax, a non-elevated “zero drop” heel for proper posture, low-to-the-ground design for perfect balance and agility, and a flexible sole that gives you “just right” protection so you can bend, move, flex, and Live Life Feet First!

Caring for your Xero Shoes

To clean your Xero Shoes, hand wash with warm water, mild soap and allow them to air dry. We do not recommend putting them in the washing machine or dryer.

We do! We’ve sold Xero Shoes to people in more than 85 countries around the world.
We use the US Postal service to send our shipments. The cost to ship will depend on the weight of the package and the delivery speed you select; several options will be provided at checkout.

All domestic shipments come with tracking. Limited tracking is available for some first class international shipments depending on the country, and full tracking is available with all Priority Express and Express International shipments.

Though almost all of our international orders arrive without incident, we strongly advise you to select Priority Express International or Express International if you live in a country with a less reliable postal service, including (but not limited to) India, Brazil, Mexico, South Africa, and Indonesia. We cannot guarantee delivery of packages shipped using First Class International.

International delivery can take anywhere from 3 days to 8 weeks depending on how long your order spends in customs at the border.

Please note that some countries do require the payment of import duties for international shipments above a certain value. We advise you to know the import regulations of your country and understand that you will be responsible for payment of any duties and fees imposed by your government at the border.

All packages will be marked as merchandise; as a commercial shipper, we are not able to mark a package as a gift (if you’re giving Xero Shoes as a gift, that’s not the same as us sending a gift).
Also, check our Stores page. There may be a Xero Shoes dealer closer to you.

After you purchase a gift certificate, you’ll be able to enter an email address for the recipient.

You could email it to yourself and forward it at a later time if you like.

You can also take the Gift Certificate code and send it to the recipient.

Please go to Xero Shoes Return Policy page to learn about our 45-day return policy.

Love the wide foot box, not impressed with the sole’s cushioning

Love the fit but I don’t care for the limited cushioning provided by the sole. My heels are sore after a long walk. These may not be keepers.

Xero Shoes

We're glad to hear that you love the fit of our shoes, but we're sorry to hear about the discomfort you're experiencing with the limited cushioning. Your comfort is important to us, and we understand that different individuals have varying preferences when it comes to support and cushioning. Too stiff

I ended up returning these and getting the Mesa Trail II because they were too stiff - couldn’t feel the ground or flex naturally.

Xero Shoes

Thank you for updating us on your experience with the Kelso shoes. We appreciate your honesty and understand the importance of finding footwear that allows for natural movement and ground feel, especially in the realm of barefoot shoes. We're glad you fit better with the Mesa Trail II, which offers a more flexible and ground-connected experience. Your feedback helps us continually improve and ensures we provide products that meet our customers' needs. If you have any further questions or require assistance with your new pair, please don't hesitate to let us know. We're here to help and want to ensure your satisfaction with our products.

Thoughtful, durable, comfortable, with only small improvement needed

I’ve written a few reviews for Xero on the various models I’ve owned and by far, this is their best shoe yet and worth the money. Likes: traction/ tread pattern, style, excellent sole to upper adhesion, comfort over long distances and while on my feet, lacing system has worn well. Wet/ cold weather suitable. Wore these as my daily in a Maine Winter November through May) Areas that could use improvement: Durability of the mesh at the forefoot crease could be improved. Mine holed up at the 3 month mark and needed to be patched. Laces needed to be longer by 4” in order to tie a double knot. My Terra Flex and Mesa Trail laces were all appropriately long. I needed to buy longer laces for the Scrambler. Even in their old age with the toe boxes covered in Shoe Goo, they are my go to shoes for splitting and stacking firewood! I have a new pair stockpiled and ready to go but not until i see the foam of my insert poking through.

Scrambler low men

Great product! Shoe is very comfortable and flexible. Been wearing them with no socks on some long walks and some very simple hikes with weighted vest and my feet feel great. The thickness of the tread is just right. Awesome shoe!

These Make Sense

These are the best shoes I have ever worn. It is different when you first walk in them and after a bit you understand the significance of the design. Toe spreading is a God sent to me and I did not really understand until a few miles what I was subjecting my feet to with old legacy shoe design. For me this is the shoe brand for life and I am not going back. Thanks for the thoughtful design and turning historic foot abuse upside down. 🙂 Thanks Daniel
